Showcasing cultural diversity beyond borders

Aabaha team members after the inaugural program. Dec 7, 2019 | Old Atlanta Recreation Center.

Who We Are

Founded in 2019, Aabaha Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit based in Marietta, Georgia, serving the Greater Atlanta area. We are a collective of non-equity theater artists and community members dedicated to creating and presenting culturally diverse theater that strengthens community connection.

Aabaha’s work bridges languages, generations, and cultural traditions—especially within immigrant and intercultural communities. Alongside live performance, we embrace contemporary tools such as multimedia design, digital documentation, and community dialogue to make theater more accessible and meaningful for today’s audiences.

What We Believe

We believe theater can be a powerful bridge—helping people see one another more clearly, share stories across differences, and build mutual understanding. We value artistic excellence, cultural exchange, respectful representation of multiple traditions, and welcoming spaces where multilingual and multi-generational audiences feel included.

What We Do

Aabaha advances culturally diverse theater through:

  • Performances that reflect stories from multiple cultural traditions.
  • Artist support and cultural exchange through collaboration and learning.
  • Accessible engagement, including post-show conversations and community dialogue.
  • Community-centered programming designed to connect multilingual and multi-generational households across Greater Atlanta.
