Aabaha Inc is a 501(c)(3) domestic nonprofit organization registered in the state of Georgia, USA.

WHO WE ARE

Founded in 2019, Aabaha is a collective of non-equity theater enthusiasts based in greater Atlanta, driven by a desire to explore the endless possibilities of this unique art form. Not being satisfied with the status quo of traditional theater techniques we are pushing the boundaries of theater to create bold new experiences that connect with audiences on a deeper emotional level. We experiment with the established norms of theater, refine the form and structure of plays to spark new ideas and perspectives. With the rise of electronic gizmos and digital media, we take theaters through new doors that were never thought possible.

To be a transformative platform for art, culture, and heritage of Indian Subcontinent immigrants in greater Atlanta area.

what we do

By using the narratives of theater, build a platform to present stories of Indian Subcontinent immigrant communities to the audience of greater Atlanta, create a space to explore various forms of theater, and encourage cultural exchanges between people of diverse communities to become a globally aware community.

INTERNATIONAL THEATER FESTIVAL

Aabaha organizes International Theater Festival (Digital) to showcase theaters in Indian vernacular languages. Theater groups from various cities of the USA, Canada, UK, Australia, India, Sweden, Netherlands, and UAE have participated in these festivals. It serves as a platform for global collaboration..

AABAHA ART AND THEATER FESTIVAL

Aabaha organizes an Art and Theater Festival featuring plays in various languages by local groups of greater Atlanta and groups from other cities of the USA. The festival also showcases paintings, sculptures, and art by local immigrant artists.

AABAHA’S PRODUCTIONS

In its repertoire, Aabaha has fourteen stage plays and four audio dramas. Aabaha hosted acting workshops, and panel discussions on various contemporary topics. Aabaha brought eminent thespians from India to run workshops and stage plays for local audiences.
