Kallol Nandi

Kallol Nandi is an accomplished individual with a diverse range of experiences and contributions to the arts and community.

Kallol was born and raised in West Bengal, India, before moving to the United States in 1995. He has been residing in Atlanta since 1997. He holds a graduate degree in Physics and a master’s degree in Computer Science and Application. Kallol is the founder and Chief Architect of Initechs LLC, showcasing his expertise in the field of computer science.

In addition to his professional achievements, Kallol has made significant contributions to various cultural and nonprofit organizations. In 2001, he incorporated Pujari Inc, a nonprofit Bengali organization in Atlanta, where he served in leadership roles such as President, Chairman, and Member of the Board of Directors for over a decade. He has also been involved as a board member of the Indian American Cultural Association and held key positions in several prestigious conferences and committees, such as the North American Bengali Conference and the Bengali Performance Art Conference.

Since 2012, Kallol has served as the Secretary of the Atlanta Theater Workshop, showcasing his commitment to the local theater community. In 2019, he founded Aabaha Inc, a nonprofit organization focused on bringing the stories of immigrant lives from the Southeast Asian diaspora, their heritage, culture, and struggles to mainstream American audiences using the power of theater. Under his guidance, Aabaha Inc hosts an International Theater Festival (Digital), utilizing technology to present performances from theaters around the world to a global audience.

Kallol is a theater-maker, having directed over ten plays and acted in numerous productions.
