Aabaha Announces Aabaha Samman Award Honorees for AATF 2026
Recognition to be presented during Aabaha Art & Theater Festival, August 14–16, 2026, at The Eagle Theatre in Sugar Hill, GA
MARIETTA, GA (February 28, 2026) — Aabaha, Inc., a Greater Atlanta nonprofit arts organization, announced today that it will present the Aabaha Samman Awards as part of the Aabaha Art & Theater Festival (AATF) 2026, taking place August 14–16, 2026 at The Eagle Theatre @ Sugar Hill (5029 West Broad St., Sugar Hill, GA 30518).
Aabaha Samman is Aabaha’s signature recognition honoring individuals whose work has made an outstanding impact on theatre and community arts—celebrating artistic excellence, cultural leadership, and the power of storytelling to build connection “beyond borders.”
Among the 2026 honorees is Dibyendu Paul, a distinguished playwright, actor, and director recognized for more than four decades of contributions to theatre and for creating meaningful cultural exchange between the United States and India. Trained under acclaimed theatre masters in both countries, Paul has presented celebrated productions across the U.S. and at respected theatre festivals in and around Kolkata, while also mentoring artists through workshops and lectures. He is widely respected for bridging East–West theatrical ideas and fostering collaboration among artists across continents.
“Aabaha Samman reflects the heart of our mission—celebrating those who strengthen community through the arts,” said Kallol Nandi, Founder & Director of Aabaha, Inc., and Convenor of AATF. “We are proud to honor artists and cultural leaders whose work inspires audiences and elevates community theatre.”
The Aabaha Art & Theater Festival (AATF) 2026 is a three-day celebration of live theatre and community arts featuring eight+ stage productions, alongside an art exhibition and a seminar/community dialogue. The festival’s tagline is “Showcasing cultural diversity beyond borders.” Additional programming details, including the Aabaha Samman presentation schedule and full festival lineup, will be announced closer to the event.
